What about this book that screamed "READ ME" was that when I read the book jacket summary, it seemed very catching, different, and futuristic; which caught my curiosity and attention. The book title is "Feed" and is written by M.T. Anderson. The genre of this book is sci-fi, or science fiction. This story takes place in the future, where people on Earth can go to other planets/moons in Space. However, the interesting part is that a computer-like program is implanted in the majority of people (including the main character and supporting characters), this is called the "feed". The "feed" allows people to read, think, write, and look up prices of objects in their own head. It is like a personal computer with "apps" like Google, Wiki, the Dictionary, and other computer tools stored in your own brain. The protagonist, Titus, and his friends rely on the "feed". The "feeds" are an essential part of life. I chose this book because I like how there's a normal "thing" in life for everybody to have, such as how nowadays we all have phones. In "Feed", everyone has a feed, a computer in the brain. But, there is a character who doesn't believe in the "Feed", so she wants to fight against it. I infer she has a rebellious side, and there's bound to be some action. Also, the book has a National Book Award finalist medal on the cover, so it must be a worthy book to read for that high of a rank. (Also, Kudos to lovely Mrs. Boulden for helping me choose out the book).

After reading for 20 minutes, I am still content with my choice because in the story, visiting planets and the moon as tourists with a bunch of friends is the norm. I would be euphoric if I had the opportunity to take trips to the moon or to other planets safely! I can relate to what the characters do in the story. I once saw a TV episode where people commonly had a computer at their disposal in their minds. I always wanted to have one for myself, so I could be a super-genius. Now I can read about it as if it were real! Plus, now there's some juicy action going on. The main character and his friends become hacked in their own minds, so now they're recovering in a hospital. This makes me itch to find out who hacked them, why, how that is possible, and the consequences on depending on a source to think for you. It's a really interesting book so far!

  3. (couldn't get lovely bones)

I used the book "Catching Fire" witch is the book I am currently reading. "Catching Fire" is by Suzanne Collins. I am at the point in the book where Katniss, Peeta, and Finnick just got over getting away from a deadly fog that gives their skin a burning sensation reaction when it comes in contact with their skin. It also makes a reaction to their muscles witch makes the muscles jump out of control. They ran away from the fog while Peeta was still weak from being shocked and almost died. That just added on to the suspense when Finnick has to now carry him while trying to run away. The fog had to stop at one point so they had out run it. They made it out of the fog but are poisoned in some spots. They reach the water and so they started soaking out the poison in the water, and it worked.

I still like this book because it sucks you in when they get into trouble. There is a problem after problem and you cant put it down. I like it how the author explains it when something exciting happens.... they put it into good detail. I really like this book.
