1. The main character is moving to your town. Will he or she fit in? Why or why not? How are his or her values? Are his or her tastes different from- or the
same as- those of your hometown? Use
specific and relevant details to support your answer.
The character would fit in our town because he is a person just like us.Just because he is an author does not mean he doesn't mean he belong in our city.He is a great author and writes really good books.They are different but that does not mean he can't live here because people think differently about a lot of things.
ReplyDeleteShe will fit in to the town because she is like us.She is senstive,takes trash out at the same time,and always say something nice to the people around her house.Her vaules are caring about the murder going on in the book.Her tastes are the same as the town because she is exactly as i explained at the top,and thats how is explains her in the book.
ReplyDeleteThe main character, Titus, would not fit in because he is not very social. His values revolve around his computer program in his brain called the feed. Usually he can chat and have a private conversation with certain people in his own mind. I would think someone who doesn't need to work hard to study or can chat with someone privately while being in their presence didn't really develop and mature much, mentally and socially since he had the feed since he was an infant. Plus, most things are artificial in his time, the clouds are artificial, corporate companies control human life, and he would not understand the simplicity of our life today compared to what he grew up to that he sees "normal". The feed allows the companies to monitor and look inside their brains, today, if we knew what the feed does, we would be freaked out and unwilling to accept Titus. However, some people may think it would be so COOL to have a computer in their brain and not have to study for an exam, so they would totally befriend him!
ReplyDelete1. If the main charater was moving to my town she would fit in bneacuse she is used to living in a small town. Her values are ggood beacuse she is very concerned about what happened to all the people and wants to make the world theat is left better. Her tastes are the same as my hometown beacuse she is acustomed to farming because she lives on a farm like manuy people in my hometown.
ReplyDeleteThe main character, Susie Salmon, I would think that she would not fit into my town considering that she is dead, because she is telling the story when she is dead. Her values are not important because she is in heaven. Her clothing taste is a lot different than our hometown because she wears stuff like yellow pants. Also this was in 1973. So the stuff they wore in 1973 is much different than what we wear now. Therefore, i think she would not fit in to my home town which is in good ol' Dover, Delaware!
