If Mary Lou (main character came to Delaware in my town i think she would fit in just fine she seams like any other teen. Mary Lou is adventourous, curious, a challenger, tough, and she makes things happen just like any teenager teenagers are just like that well atleast here sometimes not always but i can relate to her and i,m almost a teen just a few months. She makes everything seam so much fun plus she likes to have fun. A normal teenager here in the good old DE is pretty much chill and relaxed plus us here do alot of playing outside swimming hanging with close friends and going to alot of sports related events. I think she would fit in well based on her attitude and things she writes. Like for instance: "I still haven't heard from Beth Ann, and I decided i wasn't going to call her. I'll wait till she wants to talk to me." -This shows me she is in an argument with Beth Ann and doesn't want to talk to her unless Beth Ann calls her. GOSIP!!!

If the main character moved into my town i think he would fit in because we are very social and have alot of kids that like alot of his interests like reading, adventurous, etc... in the story Eddie(main character) has read all of Nathaniel Olmsted's books and a lot of kids are getting into reading more. Also we have all kinds of different kids that like different interests in books like mysteries, adventurous, science fiction, fantasy, etc...
ReplyDeleteIf the main character of my story were to move to my town, (Halt), he would not fit in. The story he is in takes place in the middle ages, so he wouldn't be used the the technological advances we have today. Also, he likes to live in secluded and forested areas. In the book, Halt lives in a cabin along the forest line, away from the local village and castle. Due to this, he would probably live in the woods next to our neighborhood. Along with this, Halt doesn't have many different values from us, so on that part, he would fit in. Overall, Halt would still have a hard time living here, since hes used to primitive ways, and not used to the world now in days.
ReplyDeleteI think he would fit in only if he kept his magic undercontrol so nobody would find out that he is a wizard. his values are that he is nice kind. I would think his taste would like our city, but I would think it will be akward for him since he is used to living with people who are not kind to him.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Katniss would fit in because where I live it's quiet and still. Where Katniss is more used to it being alittle more loud and bustling.She prefers to be active but most of the people are couch potatos. She is very defiant, and my home town are staying to the rules, so i think.
ReplyDeleteIf a talk show host asked my main character: Mary Lou what fears or worries keep her up at night she would probably talk about: worring abouther relationship with Alex Cheevy. I can tell she would worrie most about this because it says in the text: "you start worrying when all this happiness is going to end. At least that's the way I already am. Already, I'm worrying that I am too happy, and I'm either going to have to pay for this or it's going all going to end real soon". This tells me she worries about him becaus eshe says that she is very worried about the relationship they have because their going out and they hold hands and go on dates and she's so happy shes scared its all going to end which i can infere she would be kept up by that at night bcause thats probably whats on her mind all the timeAlex Cheevy.
