As you read tonight, identify at least 2 direct or indirect characteristics of a character in your book. Set up your response in the following way:

5. When Laurie pulled his wagon through the kitchen with mud, he is showing that he is a defiant young boy who causes a lot of trouble. He should know better than to be walking through his mom's nice clean kitchen with mud. Laurie goes against the commonly known rule of no mud in the kitchen just to be a bad little boy.

5. When Harris jumps on the bed of the missing writer he is very brave because the kids have seen monsters in his house before and a monster could have been protecting his stuff and attack them or the writers ghost could come after them. They weren't being respectful at all to his stuff and belongings.

Defiant
Katniss became the mockingjay to save Peeta, kill President Snow and so there is no more hunger games. She knows it might kill herself but she wants to do it for Panem.

3."Even when those Wargals came charging at him, he stood his ground"
4.Brave and Courageous
5.When Halt and Will went to investigate about a group of wargles (Strange bear-like creatures)running about, they come across footprints, and trace them to the wargals. The wargals acted hostile, and charged at them. Will was terrified when this happened, but he did avoid them, but instead tried to attack back. By doing this, he had shone that he is very brave and courageous. Any other normal person would probably have turned and galloped off on their horse.Along with this, when he attacked back by shooting an arrow, he had missed, but this didn't make him falter, he managed to get a second shot in too, but sadly it missed too, however proving him to b brave to get a second shot in.

4.Treacherous and evil
5.When Morgarath used to be a baron of Araluen, he had always resented the king. He eventually went to find a capable army to over-throw, and he did, the wargals.He had waged war on the king, making him a traitor. He had lost that battle, and hid in the mountains for 15 years. He came back to strike again, showing him as pretty evil, and again lost. He wanted to trick the king by that point, and called a truce. He rode up to the royal party assembled, and challenged a mere boy to fight. The king then made the previous quote, showing him as a coward.

5. When Harry left the house with Ron in a flying car he was showing that he waas sneaky and defiant because his uncle didn't want him leaving the house, but he did anyway so he can go live with Ron and his siblings.
