So far the book conected to me in this way the main charictor is courious just like me. Mary Lou (main charictor) also watches her little brother, injoys to swim with friends and family, is around the same age as me, and likes to learn and school. Which we both like. I know we both have al these things in commen because the text she writes in her journal says she does and explias what she likes, dislikes and what she does. Like this: "Then i took Tommie and Dougie to the pool, even though it was Maggie's day to watch Tommie". -Which shows me she injoys going to the pool with family(also friends because her bestb friend was there). Also this text tells me her and her sister Maggie switch off their responsibility of watching Tommie the youngest child. At the begging of the book/journal when Mary Lou is writing about her family and the roles they each play and their ages it says: "Mry Lou Finney (thirteen years old) is the next oldest". - This tells me shes around the same age group as me but not only that but that she is the second oldest child in her family which also refers to me in mine. the last saying she says in the journal is "Its sad to think that before you just wait for the moment go get out but then when you're summer starts your sad becuase you have nothing to do". -Which i think that same way you have nothing to do during the summer nithing to look forward to nothing at all really you dont see alot of your friends and get bored so often so it is sad. Me and Mary Lou have alot in commen after all.
ReplyDeleteA passage in my book that has reminded me of something I've felt before was when Will had thought of in the future, that he'd have to be on his own, and without his mentor Halt. I've connected to this because, U have, on several occasions, thought about when I'd have to Be on my own, get a job, etc. I can be a very daunting thought indeed. Also, this is important in the book because, right now, a main part of the story is that Will is an apprentice, and still learning, so it also makes you wonder what will happen. Will has had several mentions of these thoughts, like "The dust of his passage was quickly dispersed by the keening wind. And ten Will felt very small. And very alone." In conclusion, this is a very daunting and comparable feeling.
ReplyDeleteSo far the passage that reminded me of something i felt was when like the hair stands up on the back of your neck when you feel something bad is going to happen. It connected to me when i read it because it was the same setting and same problem. It was when i went to camp and the lightning struck a tree and blocked the path to leave. The character in the story knew something was wrong when a storm appeared out of thin air and then the counselers started acting weird.

In the book when Harry was locked in his room for a few days, was similar to when my parents would ground me and I couldn't come out or do anything untill they would tell me too. This was important to the book beacause it shows how much his aunt and uncle doesn't like him, and why Harry wants to go back to Hogwarts....
