Period 3: Entry 8

You’re an editor who has to come up with a new title for your book.  Think about the novel’s characters, problems, settings, events, and themes.  Create an effective new title that will entice people to read the book.  Explain why you think it reflects the book’s main idea so well.

  1. I think a great new enticing title for my book could be "Treaty's Training:The Barbaric
War". I think this is a good title because, for the first part of the title, "Treaty's Training", the overall picture or the main idea of the story is that Will is training to become a ranger. Will eventually gets the last name Treaty, due to him settling a treaty between Araluen and Skandia. The second part, "The Barbaric War" was thought of because, the main portion of the current book in the series im reading now is about the Skandians, which are barbaric like people, fighting the Tamujai, hence the war part. I think that the main idea and details support this name well, and could be an alternate title.

  2. If i had to rename the book i would rename it "the mystery of the vanished writer". in the book it is about a missing famous writer that this kid loved so the child's parents got him a book from a traveling yard sale that was written by his favorite writer but it was no ordinary scary story on the inside it had a code that was not translated so him and his friends try to find out what happened to the vanished writer.

  3. I think the title souhld be called "Where There is Life There is Death" because in the story lots of people were getting killed and some were living through the battle like when Harry faced Voldamort voldamort died and Harry survived the battle. I think the climax is when everyone thought Harry was dead but he was not and he got up and started to attack Lord Voldamort.
